I am currently a student at this school and inspired by other reviews I decided to write my own. On the school's website it's described as an accepting, diverse school, but in my own experiences (that I will not go into detail about to avoid identifying myself), the teachers are told to teach what's written down for them, it's like they're carrying out a script with no thoughts about students' personal learning styles and abilities, it's just an immediate detention in most cases. Several teachers also personal target these students that are in some way individual, often getting them into more trouble than with students who have a mainstream learning style or attitude. The responses to bullying are outrageous, I myself have been bullied in some way for a few years and this school has a very 'primary school' attitude towards it, telling victims to "Just ignore it." even if things have gotten physical or the victim has shown signs of hurting themselves or others. If you're a parent looking for a school to send your child to, I would suggest to ignore the only positive review as it is just the former principal trying to get some more money into the school. This is a horrible school that strips children of their individuality and has barely changed since my own parents were in high school themselves.

As a former student i would probably not send my children to this college or the one that is across the road from it i would send my children to a school where the teachers do not inject their own opinion into the young minds of children who are barely starting to create their own informed opinions about the world around them, i would not allow my children to attend this school out of fear they will accept a blatant lie as truth as i was once told that men are more likely to kill there children with in a year 12 class at this school (statistics show otherwise). If i had a choice between K.S.C. And a school in either Sunbury or Bendigo i would be happy to give my child extra money to catch the train to a better education, where they are safe to for their own opinions of the world without being indoctrinated into a hateful 'organization', if you want you kids in this type of environment you'd be better off sending them to a school of scientology. (Ps i am the first student to leave a review here, i did indeed spend my whole secondary school life at this school and "Mark ridgeway" is actually to school principal. Him rating 5 on google is like me giving my self a like on Facebook).

Not sure what the school is like, but the building is well worth the look at.

At Kyneton Secondary College we are a caring school dedicated to providing our students with the best possible education in a safe and engaging environment.
